Erdos & Morgan Announces the Release of the
2016-2017 Purchase Influence in American Business Study

Syosset, New York, November 30, 2016 – Erdos & Morgan, a full-service provider of custom and syndicated market research, announced today the release of its latest edition of the Purchase Influence in American Business study. This is the industry's most comprehensive syndicated study of U.S. Senior Executives, their purchasing power and their media consumption.

Since 1988, the Purchase Influence in American Business study remains the definitive report of purchasing power of senior executives at the headquarters of companies with sales at a minimum of $1,000,000. The study analyzes sales volume at five different levels with the upper end being $1 billion or more.

The 2016-2017 Purchase Influence in American Business study is revised to include a comprehensive measurement of Digital, Print and Broadcast Media. Each of these platforms can be analyzed individually or in combination by media brand, thereby providing a more accurate overview of the impact of the brand's reach.

Digital Media measurements include Smartphone and Tablet APP usage. The website of every publication and network in the study is measured as well as some online only media brands. Approximately 90 publications, broadcast/cable programs and websites are measured. Publication readership is measured by the use of a "recently read" scale involving readership claims for the last four (or five for daily newspapers) issues published, following a screen for any issue readership within the past six months. Broadcast is measured at the network level and includes day parts.

The Wall Street Journal is the publication read most often, while is the most visited website.

Dun & Bradstreet, the premier U.S. supplier of B2B databases, provides the sample used from their Database of American Businesses which mirrors the American business universe. According to D&B, there are over 900,000 companies that comprise the universe covered by the Purchase Influence in American Business study, for which Erdos & Morgan developed a projected universe of these senior executives.

The data that appears in the report converts the reading probabilities to average issue audiences. Unique monthly visitors (UMV) are the benchmark used for digital media. Unique weekly usage is also available.

Purchase influence information, both the nature of the influence and the dollar amounts influenced, is gathered for more about 50 products and services from the follow categories:
