Purchase Influence in American Business Study

The Erdos & Morgan Purchase Influence in American Business Study is the definitive study of purchasing power among senior executives in U.S. companies with $1 million or more in revenue. Many of the most prestigious media and advertising companies in the country purchase and make use of the report. The 2006-2007 Report is the tenth in the series of studies tracking purchasing patterns of senior executives at both headquarters and branch locations.

Dun & Bradstreet, the premier U.S. supplier of B2B databases, provided the survey sample used in the survey from their Database of American Businesses. According to D&B, there are approximately one million companies that comprise the universe covered by the Purchase Influence in American Business study, for which Erdos & Morgan developed a projected universe of these senior executives.

Purchase influence information, both the nature of the influence and the dollar amounts influenced, is gathered for more than 50 products and services. More than 140 publications and broadcast and cable programs were measured; approximately 70 publications and 65 broadcast and cable programs were reported in the 2006-2007 study.
