2003 Business Travel Study and 2003 Leisure Travel Study

The 2003 Business and Leisure Travel studies were jointly conducted by Erdos & Morgan and Beta Research Corporation.

The studies were conducted among adults with a household income of $50,000+. Qualified respondents also must have traveled within the past 3 years.

The studies were designed to measure:

  • Who the business & leisure travelers are
  • Where and why they are going on business/leisure trips
  • Factors important when making travel decisions
  • Role of Internet on travel planning
  • Brand data
  • Travel websites visited
  • Security concerns and effects on travel (especially since 9/11/01)
  • Readership of 110 publications
  • Viewership of 42 cable TV channels.

The total universe for the study consists of 48,001,863 business travelers and 69,463,742 leisure travelers.
