Erdos & Morgan 2010 Opinion Leaders Study
Erdos & Morgan is proud to announce that the 2010 Opinion Leaders Study will be released on October 28th. This industry leading survey is a national study of contemporary issue involvement and media influences. It is the best-known and most widely used survey of thought leaders in the U.S. Many of the most prestigious media, communications and advertising companies in the country purchase and make use of the report.
The 2010 Opinion Leaders Study will measure print, broadcast and web-based media. Clients will have the option to purchase just the print/broadcast portion or just the web-based media portion of the study or both portions. The survey will capture media brand perception and usage information from all these media platforms at the same time. The 2010 Opinion Leaders Study will be available in one database for those clients purchasing both the print/broadcast and web-based media portions, thereby allowing for easy comparison across media platforms.
Another advantage is that it allows you to evaluate your own media brand across these platforms. This provides for a complete picture of your "media mix" (mix of people connecting with your media brand across one or more platforms). Evaluating this mix can help in analyzing how your media brand is perceived and consumed. It can also be used to answer internal questions related to strategy and external questions from RFPs you receive during the year.
The 190 issues covered in the 2010 study ranged across such diverse topics as governmental self-regulation, the environment, consumer protection, healthcare, drug policy, international trade, technology & telecommunications, legal issues and a host of other topics.
Media are chosen for inclusion in the study based on their potential coverage of opinion leaders. Approximately 130 websites, 100 publications and 60 broadcast and cable programs are included in the study.
Frequency of engagement is measured for each media brand. Those individuals engaged with a specific media brand are also asked about five different attributes related to that brand. The attributes are Influential, Objective, Keeps Me Current, Creditable and Enjoyable.
